Their daughter, Luna (she/her), would be an integral part of this magical day. Keep reading to learn about Lindsey Page and Taylor’s love story and how they turned simple moments into wonderful memories with their daughter on their elopement day.
Sunrise Preparations at Home
The day began as the sun peeked over the horizon. In the soft, golden light, Lindsey Page, Taylor, and Luna, their daughter, embarked on a shared journey to prepare for their day of adventure.
Every aspect of this day was meticulously chosen to reflect the essence of their love story. Taylor’s Jos A. Banks bow tie and Lindsey Page’s BitterSweet Boutique dress were elegant, understated nods to their personal styles. Luna wore eco-dyed bibs from Fae Cottage Flower Farm. It was a celebration of their unique personalities coming together as one.
The family’s flower crowns, also from Fae Cottage Flower Farm, blended delicate blooms and vibrant colors. Each petal and leaf symbolized different facets of their love – its resilience, beauty, and constant growth. These crowns were more than accessories; they were tangible expressions of the love surrounding Lindsey Page, Taylor, and Luna.
Henley and Elly, Luna’s cherished stuffed animals, played a special role in the day’s festivities. These cuddly friends have been Luna’s constant companions, offering comfort and companionship on all her adventures.
A Creekside Ceremony at Fishburn Park
The family made their way to Fishburn Park, a place dear to their hearts. Here, Lindsey Page and Taylor would once again declare their love and devotion to one another. Their vows echoed through the serene park, surrounded by the beauty of nature. With their rings, they sealed their promise to stand by each other, through all of life’s challenges and joys.
Amidst the ceremony, Luna immersed herself in the wonders of nature. She played by the creek, her laughter echoing through the air as she “cleaned” leaves and created rock families. Her pure joy was a reminder of the happiness her parents had found in each other.
Splashes of Happiness and Swings of Joy
After the ceremony, the family spent quality time splashing around in the creek, forging unforgettable memories. Luna’s giggles filled the air as they reveled in the water. With damp feet, they returned to the Fishburn Park playground. Luna, full of boundless energy, couldn’t resist the allure of the swing sets. Her parents joined in on the fun, soaring high above the ground, suspended in pure joy.
Lunch and a Sweet Treat at Pop’s
After playing in the creek and on the playground at Fishburn Park, they headed to Pop’s Ice Cream & Soda Bar in Grandin Village. Seated in a vintage diner-style booth, they savored their favorites: pizza grilled cheese, popcorn, and smiley-face French fries. It was a feast of nostalgia, love, and togetherness. Their day wouldn’t be complete without a sweet indulgence. They shared a vibrant blue Cotton Candy milkshake, a symbol of the colorful journey they had embarked upon as a family. Each sip celebrated their love, and each laugh sealed their bond.
Looking Ahead to Endless Adventures
As our time together came to a close, Lindsey Page, Taylor, and Luna returned home, hearts brimming with love and gratitude. The vow renewal was more than just a ceremony; it was a testament to the beautiful journey they had embarked on as a family. Their love had grown stronger, just as their commitment to each other had deepened.
In the pages of their life, this day would forever be etched as a beautiful chapter—a chapter of renewal, love, and the promise of a future filled with more adventures, laughter, and love. Their journey was far from over, and with each passing day, their love story continued to evolve, weaving a tapestry of joy and togetherness.
Lindsey Page and Taylor’s Love Story
I have set various touch points throughout the elopement planning process to get to know my couples more. During our consultation call, I asked Lindsey Page and Taylor some questions to get to know more about them, their story, and their vision for their day, and these were their responses:
How did you and your significant other first meet?
“We met when we were both fifteen at Relay for Life. We were both celebrating survivors from our families, Taylor came to celebrate his aunt and I was there to celebrate my mom. I asked Taylor if he had ever been given a Scooby Kiss, when he responded no, I promptly licked him from chin to temple. Taylor, un-phased, wiped his face and smiled and we didn’t reconnect until 5 years later. We met through a mutual friend and hit it off instantly. Taylor asked me on three different types of dates because he wasn’t sure if any of them were good enough and I agreed to go out to a movie with him.”
What is your proposal story?
“On New Years Eve, Taylor had a handful of special people in our lives surprise me by walking into the room one by one handing me flowers, he followed them with an engagement ring and proposed. (I knew all of this because there are no secrets that can be kept from one Lindsey Page) BUT I did my best to let him keep his surprise so right before we were leaving for the NYE party, I told him I didn’t think I was going to go because my stomach was hurting and I watched the wheels in his brain start spinning rapidly.”
What are your favorite things to do together? What makes you two “you”?
“We love to try new things with Luna, go see live music, explore nature, update our beautiful 100 year old home, love on all nine of our pets and truly evolve into who we are today. We have been together for a decade and we truly just enjoy doing every aspect of life together. Now that we are responsible for the most radical kid, we spend a lot of our free time outside, exploring, thrifting, riding in our old Jeep Wrangler and finding all the flowers we can anywhere we go. Taylor has jumped into every dream I have ever had like it is his own, we share passions, we push each other to succeed and, most importantly, we never stop admiring each others dreams.”
