Can we bring guests?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring guests and I’d be happy to plan an exciting day for everyone involved!
However, please keep in mind that while my hard cap is 25 guests, some locations may only permit up to 15-20 guests (including vendors). As your guest count increases, logistics can become more complex, including seating arrangements, bathroom availability, parking space, trail accessibility, and food/drink options.
Additionally, the number of available locations may decrease due to restrictions set by various parks in Virginia, so it's important to consider these factors when planning your guest list.
After reading all this, you may still be wondering…
Do you do engagement sessions?
Yes! Though I call them adventure sessions. An adventure session can be anything you want it to be! Often it's an engagement session, but it could also be an anniversary shoot, a day-before or day-after elopement session, or simply a fun couple’s photoshoot. These sessions typically involve heading to an epic location for amazing photos and, as the name suggests, some element of adventure. Adventure sessions cannot be done in place of an elopement.

These are some questions that past couples have had...
To legally get married in Virginia, you'll need to obtain a marriage license from a Circuit Court Clerk's office, which requires both partners to be present with valid IDs (like a passport or driver's license) and a $30 fee.
There are no residency requirements, and once approved, the license is valid for 60 days with no waiting period. Virginia doesn't require witnesses, but self-officiation isn’t allowed, so you'll need a registered officiant or a friend/family member who can apply for a one-time civil officiant license if they're a Virginia resident.

I use Lightroom and Photoshop to edit your images. I add my presets and, from there, I edit lightly. I tend to adjust the lighting, contrast, dodge/burn, saturation, vibrancy, highlights, shadows, etc.
In addition to these edits, I also do light retouching (e.g., removal of a distracting element from a picture, removal or minimization of minor blemishes in skin, teeth, or garments, and similar modifications). These photos should be authentic and should make you feel proud to show them off. That is what I keep in mind when I’m in the editing process.
I do not use Photoshop to dramatically alter or change your appearance because I strongly believe we are all great just the way we are.
Every elopement is unique but I typically promise 50 images per hour. I cull through the whole batch of photos first to take out any duplicate images or images that don’t meet my minimum standards, but rest assured that you’ll still get all of the moments that matter most to you and your partner!
Your full gallery will be finished within 6-8 weeks and, to help you still ride the high from your elopement or adventure session, I provide a sneak peek within 24-48 hours of your time with me. You won’t be waiting months before receiving some photos! Don’t you worry!
For all of my elopement packages, I require a flat fee of $2,000 non-refundable retainer to be paid at the time of signing your contract. Once your contract is signed and retainer is paid, you've officially booked your elopement date with me and we'll start the planning process A-S-A-P!
The remaining balance of your package will be due 4 weeks before your elopement date.
