Levi and Zach’s Love Story
The story of the iconic duo behind Fae Cottage Flower Farm begins with a twist of fate. Two souls, traveling their own paths, found each other in the vast world of online dating. Levi (he/they), with a tattoo appointment originally scheduled, suddenly found himself free when it got rescheduled last minute. Meanwhile, Zach (he/him) was on his way back from Indiana to Roanoke. It was the kind of moment when destiny seemed to intervene, nudging these two spirits toward one another.
Reflecting on that pivotal moment, Levi and Zach realized that if life hadn’t thrown them this unexpected curveball, their paths likely would’ve never crossed. It was a classic case of being in the right place at the right time.
Their first date, held in Charleston, West Virginia, was a charming blend of simplicity and intimacy. They sipped iced chai lattes at every coffee shop they could find, cherishing the small moments and savouring each other’s company. As they wandered through the various gardens in the area, they laughed and talked, feeling like “little old men,” as Levi affectionately put it. This date would become a memory that they would carry with them as they embarked on this journey together.

Levi and Zach’s Fae Cottage Flower Farm Adventure Session
Fast forward to an early July morning, Levi and Zach welcomed me to their enchanted world at Fae Cottage Flower Farm. This day was not just about capturing their love but also about embracing the magic of the farm they had nurtured together.
The adventure session promised to be a unique experience. It was a blend of personal and professional, an opportunity for them to showcase their farm while also celebrating their love story. Levi and Zach were eager to capture moments that could seamlessly integrate into their branding, with plenty of headspace to accommodate their logo. To ensure I captured their vision perfectly, I opted to photograph the entire session in landscape mode, accounting for that extra space that would later be filled with the essence of Fae Cottage Flower Farm.
From the very start, it was clear that this session was destined for greatness. The picturesque landscape provided a breathtaking backdrop for their love story to unfold. As the sun began its ascent into the sky, casting a warm, golden glow over the farm, we embarked on a journey that would capture the essence of Levi and Zach’s love and the enchanting world they had created.
Despite having to reschedule their session a few times prior to this July morning due to unpredictable weather and a surprise visit from a curious bear (who, luckily, decided not to join our photo shoot), our spirits remained unshaken. Rain and unexpected guests couldn’t dampen the love that radiated between Levi and Zach.
As we ventured deeper into the heart of Fae Cottage Flower Farm, it became clear that this was not just a farm; it was a labor of love. Every bloom, every leaf, every corner was infused with their passion and dedication. The farm was a testament to their shared dreams and the hard work they had poured into it.
The photos captured that day, with their sweeping landscapes and intimate moments, reflected the essence of Levi and Zach’s journey. An adventure session is whatever you want it to be! It’s usually an engagement session, but it can also be an anniversary session, a day-before or day-after photo session that happens prior to or following your elopement, or a couple session. This type of session usually involves going to an epic location for amazing photos and, as it’s mentioned in the name, involves some element of adventure.
Adventure is completely subjective and could mean something different to each person. An adventure session to you could mean hiking, climbing, or braving the cold (or heat!) or it could entail visiting a place you’ve never been before or experiencing something you’ve never done before.
